Life’s Little Mysteries – Mom Support Book Club!
Moms need a support system, and it just is not there. So I’m looking to find ways to create those connections, and maybe center it around books too. With that in mind, I’ve started a book club on Bookclubs to help facilitate that goal. https://bookclubs.com/clubs/6043328/join/5d8760/
This will be a book reading forum for moms. Is it book club? Yes. But it will also be space for moms to vent and compare notes with each other. The books chosen will be light and cozy reads, short mysteries, maybe romance novels, that are easy to get through. Books that feel like warm hugs, even if (as in the case of mysteries) there might be a murderer on the loose.
Our particular focus will be on connecting parents who still need fellow parent friends but have older children. (Parenting support groups tend to only be for new moms – and as a mom of a pandemic baby, quite a few of us missed out on that crucial stage.)
Moms don’t have villages the way they used to. I’d like to find a way to bring the calm I find in a good book and a cuppa to other moms.
