They’re here, they’re here – TWO DAYS EARLY! (By the time this post publishes, it will be April 3rd and therefore no longer early. But since I’m ahead of the game here, I’m still two days early.)

Five Book of the Month picks to choose from as usual, and yet I was so torn I almost picked THREE! Caught between the 1920s, World War II, and romance, I ended up going with The Paris Hours by Alex George. A bit of romance, a bit of Paris, a bit of 1920s Paris society, I couldn’t resist. (My favorite scenes from The Collector’s Apprentice all had well known faces in them, so I’m looking forward to that in The Paris Hours as well.)

However, I came very close to choosing Beach Read by Emily Henry because I can’t resist a romance. The Library of Legends by Janie Chang was also really intriguing because it is set in the World War II period in China and is classified as a Historical Fantasy! (Also, take a look at that cover art! It’s gorgeous! I know, I know – never judge a book by it’s cover. But come on – it’s beautiful.)

All three of this books are Early Releases. In fact, four of the five books this month are early release titles! (This fully justifies my membership more than anything else, except maybe for the fact that each additional book through BOTM is only $9.99! Book of the Month is actually a really good deal.)

Part of the reason that I’m only choosing one book this month is that I am trying to spread my book budget across all of my suppliers during COVID-19, so a larger quantity of my book budget is going to my local bookstores who are doing pick-ups and deliveries right now. As you may have read from my post last Tuesday, I’m in a bit of a rut as far as finishing titles is concerned – but I shan’t allow my rut to further limit my book budget! I care about my local bookstores too much!
