Where are we at on the list of goals for 2013?
1) I want to audition for a local production of something. I can act, I swear. I’ve just always been very hesitant to audition for these things.
I auditioned for Oliver!… Didn’t get in. Worked on sound crew. I auditioned for Les Miserables… Didn’t get in. But I will be helping out with costumes, so that’s something.
2) Keep doing what I am doing. Working where I do has been a lot of fun, even if it is also a lot of work.
Well this was an easy one to keep.
3) Do my best by the standards of USA Dance, and in that vein – try to be more social and welcoming.
This was also an easy one, though I will forever be working on my social skills.
4) Apply for graduate school finally. The lack of classroom learning is beginning to make me miss collage. Also – most collages come with food courts.
Done! Writing my last papers for the end of my first semester as I write this.
5) Eat better. As in, three meals a day. Get up early, stretch, eat breakfast, start day, eat lunch, end day, eat dinner, relax. Sound like a plan? Maybe actually start trying it?
Haha… Still working on this one.
6) Read more books. Write more books. I’m already a good chunk of the way through Taliesin, so I can totally finish it and the rest of The Pendragon Cycle.
Uh, yeah… Still working on this one – though finishing the Divergent trilogy in a weekend would say other wise.
7) Quit reading Fan Fiction. I know it’s addicting. You’ve quit before, you can do it again. And you feel so much more accomplished when you waste a day reading a novel, not some junkie fan site.
Haha… This will never fully come to pass. Especially when the only way to avoid fan fiction is to read romance novels. I don’t think one is really all that better than the other.
8) Visit Britain. Scotland and Wales more precisely. Do it! And make friends while you’re at it.
Done! Well, Edinburgh! And some Glasgow! I liked Edinburgh way better. Whole post on that trip to come later.
